dear friends and fans I am so sorry it's been like May since I posted anything, BtS or non-BtS can you ever forgive me? what if I said I dedicated this little thing to you all?
I'm not DEAD! HI! Hasn't it been forever? It's been forever. Well, guess what? This is my little 'sorry-for-going-away' present to all of you, a crummy token to say: BOLT THE SUPERDOG: SHOCKING IS ALMOST THROUGH AND THENNNN I HAVE A SURPRISE FOR YOU!
'You' being anyone who cares and follows these things so graciously! Anywho.
The What: The title picture for my Bolt the Superdog fanfics!This goes on the thumbnail in my gallery. Here we have Bolt looking into the 'camera' cockily, displaying his lightning bolt, which is really a birthmark, which is really spewing lightning, because he REALLY has superpowers, as if to say 'well, what do we have here?' This image is to show that yes, this isn't just a one-time fanfic and fanart, this will be a recurring theme in my gallery; an ongoing story that I am writing in Disney's Bolt's TV-universe. So, like I said, consider this a poster for my little fan-brand.
The How: The usual. I sketched him by hand with a pencil and a scketchbook, using a screenshot of Bolt in his tree-argument with Mittens from the movie for the body, and then scanned it onto my iPad, where I added the details, lightning, background, coloring, and shading on my Sketch App.
The Why: Because I AM REALLY LATE posting any Bolt stuff! Seriously, I hit a funk about the whole thing (This next chapter of Shocking has thrown me for a loop) and that funk lasted a few months. Now, I was hit with a flair of inspiration by InnerUnniverse and the comments on my most recent Journal from you guys, and have pushed through the bulk of this next chapter and started up on several art projects and title pictures I was finishing again. The result? Here it is! This is actually something I've wanted to do for a while.
The Problem: Well, I'm just not satisfied with the lightning. His birthmark always gives me trouble. I really like how his expression and eyes came out, and the shading, but I just wish that darn lightning was better. Ah, well. I couldn't fiddle with it anymore!
