Bolt the Superdog - Mittens

The What: Another picture presenting my Bolt the Superdog AU! Of course, it's not really mine, since it's based on the TV-Show in Disney's movie Bolt, but I'm doing a lot of pictures and writings a bunch of stuff, so yeah. Anyhow, here we see Bolt the Superdog looking startled while Mittens the Spy wraps her tail under his chin. Cuties! Yes, I called her Mittens the Spy. No, this is not the mild-mannered alley cat you know—at least, not without a twist. Mittens and Bolt met when Penny was captured by the Green-Eyed Man and taken across the country, and Bolt decided to force her to help him locate and rescue his Person. Apparently Mittens didn't mind so much, because she's been doing it ever since, acting as a double-agent and trying to feed Bolt as much information as she can about where Penny's father is being kept and what plans the fiendish Doctor Calico has in store. I also have a background of simple sepia and rosy pink bubbles.

The Why: I'm on a MAJOR Bolt kick, and I'm really churning out as much Bolt-centered fan stuff as a product of that as I can. I wanted to give the Mittens fans out there a familiar face instead of only ALWAYS drawing Bolt and Shock.

The How: Sketched Mittens in my sketchbook with a pencil, then scanned her and edited/colored her on my SketchApp on my iPad. Bolt, however, was done on completely digitally, and with a lot of references since I'm not used to that particular perspective for him.

The Problem: Well, in spite of Mittens' choppy weird shadows and her odd tail, and something bland in Bolt's face that I wish I knew how to decipher, I'm actually happy with this piece, and I hope you guys are too.

EEEEK I wish I could just spew out to you all of the ideas I have coming up for these two, and another love interest, and Rhino, and Murk, and Penny, and gahhhh but I can't. It's a surpriiiiiise!! Enjoy!
